Writing For Publication: Getting Started

Have you ever wondered how someone gets a magazine article or a book published? This course will introduce you to the steps necessary to prepare and submit manuscripts to your type(s) of market. Each week will cover information based on the students' interests and their writing styles. Students will write during the course and will identify at least one potential market for publication by the end of the course. The instructor is a local author who has been published by Harlequin, Instructor, Learning, Harris' Farmers Almanac, Brides's, and other publications. A former elementary teacher and writing club sponsor in Joplin, she also was an intructor with the Institute of Children's Literature.
